Our Principals
Daniel T. McCaffery
Mr. McCaffery is the President at Market Common Communities, LLC. Dan started his
career as a teacher and Vice Principal before switching to a successful career in
real estate. He has served in a senior management positions with Oxford Development
Group, one of the largest Canadian real estate companies, before starting his own
development firm, McCaffery Interests, Inc. Mr. McCaffery has more than 25 years
experience in the real estate industry and has led the development of more than
$2 billion of mixed-use urban projects.
Dan has been a frequent speaker at meetings and conventions of the Urban Land Institute
and the International Council of Shopping Centers and has served as a ULI Council
Member and member of the ULI Awards Jury.
Mr. McCaffery received his Bachelor of Physical Education and a Master of Arts degree
from the University of Alberta in Edmonton.
Edmund Woodbury
Mr. Woodbury is a partner at Market Common Communities, LLC. Ed is responsible for
all aspects of project budgeting, construction and tenant coordination. Mr. Woodbury
is a registered architect and he spent 7 years with the Chicago office of Skidmore,
Owings and Merrill in various senior design and management positions. Ed has held
senior positions in Oxford Properties, BCE Development and McCaffery Interests,
Inc. He has been active in the real estate industry for more than 20 years.
Ed is active in his community, having served on his zoning board, plan commission
and is a former Trustee and the current President of the village in which he resides.
Mr. Woodbury received a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Architecture in Urban
Design from the University of Illinois.
Juan Cameron
Mr. Cameron is a partner of the firm. Prior to joining Market Common Communities,
LLC, Juan has been a successful broker at Randall H. Hagner, a regional diversified
real estate brokerage firm in Washington, DC. and a Vice President at McCaffery
Interests, Inc. In the past 5 years, Juan has leased more than 1.2 million square
feet of space. When he is not securing leases, he is identifying new development
opportunities for the firm. Mr. Cameron has been active in the real estate business
for 24 years.
Juan has served on the Board of Directors of the highly acclaimed National Children’s
Research Center in Washington, DC and currently serves on The Advisory Board for
The Shopping Center Edge.
Mr. Cameron attended Boston University and American University.
Angela Woolfolk
Ms. Woolfolk is a partner at Market Common Communities. She is responsible for all
aspects of the financial operation of the company as well as communication with
financial partners. Ms. Woolfolk has worked over 14 years in the industry with firms
like Coopers & Lybrand (currently known as Price Waterhouse Coopers) and McCaffery
Interests, Inc.
Angela is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University
of Illinois.
